ROAD: Directory of Open Access scholarly Resources
ROAD (Directory of Open Access scholarly Resources) is a project developed by the ISSN International Centre with support from the Communication and Information Sector of UNESCO. Launched in 2013, ROAD provides free access to a subset of the ISSN Register. This subset comprises bibliographic records which describe scholarly resources in open access that have been assigned an ISSN by the ISSN Network, and include journals, conference proceedings, academic repositories, and scholarly blogs.
Crossref is an organization that provides a robust infrastructure to support more effective scholarly communications. Crossref’s main role is to register DOIs (digital object identifiers) for scholarly content. A DOI uniquely identifies a piece of content and provides a persistent link to its location on the internet. Crossref itself is not a database of content, but rather a registration agency that enables effective management and tracking of electronic scholarly content to enhance the visibility and interoperability of research outputs.
CEJSH – The Central European Journal of Social Sciences and Humanities
