Step 1: Manuscript Preparation

  • Familiarize with Guidelines: Authors should carefully read Acta Humanitatis’ submission guidelines, including formatting, word count, referencing style, and any specific requirements for figures and tables.
  • Prepare a Manuscript: Write your manuscript following the guidelines of Acta Humanitatis. Ensure that the work is original, not under consideration elsewhere, and adheres to ethical standards.
  • Author Information: Prepare a separate document containing author(s) details like names, affiliations, and contact information to facilitate a blind review process, if applicable.

Step 2: Submission via Email

  • Direct Submission: Manuscripts should be sent directly to Acta Humanitatis’ editorial office via email at achahumanitatis@vizha.pl.
  • Email Content: Include in the email a cover letter stating the significance of the manuscript and confirming that the content is original and not under review elsewhere. Attach the manuscript and any supplementary files to the email.
  • Confirmation: Authors will receive an email confirmation acknowledging receipt of the manuscript.

Step 3: Initial Screening

  • The editorial team of Acta Humanitatis conducts an initial screening for scope, compliance with submission guidelines, and basic quality standards.

  • Assignment to Reviewers: The manuscript is assigned to peer reviewers who are experts in the field.
  • Review Process: Reviewers evaluate the manuscript and submit their reports, recommending acceptance, revision, or rejection.

Step 5: Editor’s Decision

  • Based on reviewers’ comments, the Acta Humanitatis editor decides: Accept, Minor Revision, Major Revision, or Reject.
  • The decision and reviewers’ comments are communicated to the author.

Step 6: Revision (if required)

  • Revision Submission: If revisions are required, authors should submit the revised manuscript along with a point-by-point response to reviewers’ comments within the given timeframe.
  • Reassessment: The revised manuscript may undergo further review.

Step 7: Final Decision and Acceptance

  • Once any required revisions are satisfactorily addressed, the manuscript is accepted for publication in Acta Humanitatis.
  • The author will receive an acceptance letter and information about the next steps.

Step 8: Publication

  • Proofs: Authors will receive page proofs for final review and correction.
  • Publication: After final corrections, the article is published online and/or in print in Acta Humanitatis.
